YOUR APLAUZ
There is a balance-check tool right on the homepage for you to view the current balance and status of your Aplauz digital credit. You can also download the Aplauz App and check your current balance from the home screen by scanning your 16-digit code.
Depending on your country of residence you can buy Aplauz vouchers in an authorized retail or online stores. Once you have purchased an Aplauz voucher, you can spend it at one of our partner websites, or you can top up your Aplauz App. Topping up your digital wallet enables you to have higher spending limits, storing all of your 16-digit codes in one place, and simple and easy online payments – you just need to enter your phone number at a checkout.
Aplauz might not be available on some websites, Aplauz vouchers or Aplauz App are not available in certain countries yet.

APLAUZ APP
The Aplauz App is your personal digital wallet that you can set up in just a few minutes. Aplauz App enables a fast way to pay online by entering only your credentials, instead of typing in 16-digit codes each time. You also benefit from higher limits when spending your balance at authorized websites. On top of that, you will always have your transaction history at hand, meaning better control of your spendings. A map indicating you the way to stores where you can buy Aplauz is also available.
To benefit from all Aplauz App features, you first need to top up your digital wallet with Aplauz vouchers by scanning their 16-digit codes.
In this case, you will need to contact our Customer Support Team. Our Customer Support Team will ask you to provide us with a proof of address in a form of utility bill, credit card statement, lease agreement or mortgage statement etc. After all required checks are done, they will get back to you and enable you to edit your country of residence in the Aplauz App and you will have 24h to do so. Keep in mind that you will have to provide us with a new phone number as well. Your new phone number must be registered in the same country as your new country of residence.
Generally, if you use your Aplauz App regularly, no fees or additional costs will appear. But, if you have no transactions for a period of 6 months, you are subject to a monthly 4,50 EUR inactivity fee, starting from the 7th month of inactivity. To avoid this fee, simply sign in to your Aplauz App and perform a transaction, at least once every 6 months.
When using the Aplauz App, you can have one of the two statuses “Aplauz Plus” or “Aplauz Pro”.
When you create your account for the first time, you will by default be given user status “Aplauz Plus”. This user status enables you to:
– spend 100 EUR in a single transaction
– spend 1.500 EUR per partner website in a period of 365 days
– have maximum digital wallet balance of 150 EUR
If you would like to upgrade your user status to the “Aplauz Pro” you will have to get verified by providing us with an ID document and selfie/video. Upgrading your status to the “Aplauz Pro” enables you to:
– spend 500 EUR in a single transaction
– spend 2.500 EUR per partner website in a period of 365 days
– have maximum digital wallet balance of 2.000 EUR
You can upgrade the status of your Aplauz App digital wallet at any time by having your personal information verified through the app. This can be done in a few simple steps:
1. Ensuring that the details entered when you first registered to match the details on the ID document you will provide us (passport, National ID card). Before you start the verification process, check the information you provided us on the “My Profile” screen, and change it so that it matches the information from the ID document.
2. Start the verification by tapping on the “”Get Verified”” button on the Aplauz App home screen. Decide which photo ID you would like to use for identification.
The choice is:
a. Passport
b. National ID card
3. After you have uploaded the images of your identification document, we also need a photo on which your face is clearly recognizable. We will ask you to do one of the following:
a. Take and upload a selfie.
b. Record and upload a video.
Please, do not take a photo of a picture, make sure your entire face is visible, that you are not wearing glasses or sunglasses, and that you are alone in the picture frame (no other people visible in the photo/video provided).
The identity verification is complete in just a few minutes, and so is your upgrade to the Aplauz Pro status. Immediately after that, you will be able to enjoy all the benefits of the new user status.
If during the account creation/verification, some data does not match your personal data from the ID document, we will overwrite the data visible on the “My Profile” screen with the data we got from the ID document you provided. Your personal data at the time of registration has to match with the data in your ID document.
First, be sure that you are trying to top up your account with an Aplauz voucher purchased in the same country as your registered country of residence.
Second, always check if you have entered the correct 16-digit code.
Third, check that you have credit on the voucher you are trying to use to top up your account.
Be sure that the email did not end up in your spam folder.
If the email is nowhere to be found in your inbox, you might try using a different email address. If that is also not working, you can repeat the account creation process. The Aplauz App will not store any personal data until your registration is completed.
Be sure that you provided a correct phone number.
There is an option to have the SMS code re-sent to your correct phone number.
If you still have issues receiving the SMS code, you can repeat the registration process at any time, or try to use different phone number. The Aplauz App will not store any personal data until your registration is completed.
The security of your Aplauz App digital wallet is of highest priority, so keep the access data to your app and your smartphone secret and do not disclose your login information to anyone. You should also ensure that only you have access to your email address and phone number provided. If you suspect that there was a payment made through your Aplauz App without your authorization, please do the following:
– check if you have previously provided your credentials to someone, as they might have been saved and used again for recurring payments.
– please check with the relevant partner website if you have any active payment subscription that automatically deducts a certain amount from your account.
– be aware that every payment will be included in the transaction history in your Aplauz App.
– keep in mind that in the transaction history, the name of a partner website may differ from the name by which the partner website is known to you. To check whether this is the case, please refer to the partners website imprint to see their registered entity name.

Kid’s Vocuher is purchased as any other Aplauz voucher, at our online or retail stores. When you are adding voucher to your Aplauz App you are deciding if you want to use it as Kid’s or Regular voucher.
You can always change voucher type from kid’s to regular and vice versa by contacting our Support team at contact@aplauz.com.
As a parent, you choose whether you want to get notified on every payment your child makes, or you want to confirm each payment so that you are always in control. Also, payments made with kid’s voucher will be visible in your Aplauz App – Latest transactions section and Payments section.
It is up to you. You can set separate rule per each Kid’s voucher you add to the Aplauz app. You will be offered to choose between two options (confirm every payment or get notified only) on Add Voucher step in the mobile app.
Yes, all payments are visible in the Latest payments section in the Aplauz App.
No, you don’t have to worry about it. Kid’s voucher can be spend only on child friendly online shops.
Yes, you can choose between fixed denominations, or choose a variable denomination that is specific to your needs – e.g. 17,30 EUR.
Each time you go to Generate barcode option, new barcode will be generated, so you don’t have to worry about barcode expiration. There is no limit on how many of them you can generate before purchase.
Yes, you will receive confirmation in a form of push and inapp notification on your mobile device. Also, your purchase will be visible in the Latest transactions and Vocuhers section in the Aplauz App.
Yes, no need to have a fully verified account to use those two features.
Direct Load feature is available in the mobile app only in countries where our distributors support Direct Load at physical point of sale.
Yes, but the receipt is printed out and provided to you by our distributors at a point of sale.
You can see voucher purchase type of each voucher in your Aplauz App. From Dashboard screen go to Vouchers tab, and tap on the voucher details to see all relevant information, including purchase type.

SUSPICION OF FRAUD
OK, this is serious. Getting a notification to regain access to your computer is a scam and your computer has probably caught a virus! Any government authority or any legitimate business will never ask you this. It’s really important that you never enter an Aplauz code number in an attempt to regain access to your computer; that will seal the virus and you will lose your Aplauz digital credit balance. Get support and professional help to remove the virus.
If you have already entered your Aplauz code on an unauthorised website, contact our Customer Service department as soon as possible, so that we can try to lock it before it’s used.
Please note that we can lock an Aplauz code only if the perpetrators have not used the balance of the Aplauz credit. If they were quick and have already used a complete balance of your Aplauz digital credit, we won’t be able to refund or replace it. If that’s the case, we recommend that you file a police report. We will try to help them in answering their questions at this email: contact@aplauz.com.

Aplauz can only and exclusively be used at authorised websites. You can report this incident to the police and we can only help in answering some questions the authorities might have at contact@aplauz.com. REFUND
It can take up to 3 weeks for you to see the amount on your bank account, but if this time has passed and you still haven’t received it, please email us, stating your refund reference number and the serial number(s) of your Aplauz codes(s) at: contact@aplauz.com.
This process does require that you have a bank account, so prepare:
- Your bank name, IBAN, BIC
- A copy of your Aplauz voucher
We will also need:
- A clear and readable copy of your Passport or national ID card
- A clear and readable proof of address document (utility bill, rental contract, bank account statement, etc.)
Accepted Refund requests include a processing fee of 8 CHF, deducted from your Aplauz credit, while your bank may apply an extra fee.
PAYMENT ISSUES
You may have made an error when entering the Code of your Aplauz or there could be a technical issue or some information about the context of the transaction may not be appropriate. In any case, if the issue persists, contact our customer support.
Usually, it all goes well within a few minutes but in very rare cases (like when technical issues happen) the website is unable to complete a transaction, even though the amount has been deducted from your Aplauz digital credit.
If it looks like that, please contact the website’s Customer Service for the amount to be credited retroactively. To ensure that your request can be correctly processed by the website, you should send these details:
– The Aplauz code serial number as indicated on your printed receipt
– The transaction ID that the online webshop may have provided you when you paid
– The exact amount of the transaction
– Your online webshop client account ID
– The e-mail address you used when you signed up at the website.
FEES & LIMITS
List of possible fees applied by Aplauz are as follows:
– Maintenance fee:
If you purchased an Aplauz voucher in Switzerland and haven’t used its total balance for more than 365 days, we will charge a monthly administrative fee of 3,00 CHF. This fee will be charged and deducted monthly from available funds, until the voucher balance reaches zero.
If you purchased an Aplauz voucher in European Union countries and you have some money left on it for more than 6 month, we will be deducting a monthly service fee of EUR 2,50.
– Redemption fee:
For Aplauz vouchers purchased in Switzerland, a redemption entails a fee of 8,00 CHF. This is deducted from the redeeming amount. This fee applies to each voucher redemption request. Additional fees from your bank may apply.
For Aplauz vouchers purchased in European Union countries, a refund entails a fee of 4,00 EUR. This is deducted from the refunded amount. This fee applies to each refund. Additional fees from your bank may apply.
– Aplauz App Inactivity fee:
If you have no transactions for a period of 6 months, you are subject to a monthly 4,50 EUR inactivity fee, starting from the 7th month of inactivity. To avoid this fee, simply sign in to your Aplauz App and perform a transaction, at least once every 6 months.
Some distributors and merchants may charge administration or other fees when an Aplauz voucher is purchased and/or used. We advise that you consult distributors’ and/or merchants’ terms and conditions to obtain information on such fees before completing the purchase. As Aplauz is a highly regulated financial institution we need to follow certain directives of our regulators, meaning there are some limits put in place.
If you have purchased an Aplauz voucher in Switzerland and are using it in Switzerland, the following limits apply:
– spending limit of 1.500 CHF in a single transaction
– spending limit of 5.000 CHF per partner website in a period of 30 days
If you have purchased an Aplauz voucher in the European Union and are using it in the European Union, the following limits apply:
– spending limit of 50 EUR in a single transaction
– spending limit of 1.000 EUR per partner website in a period of 365 days
If you would like to benefit from higher limits, you can download the Aplauz App. In that case , the following limits will apply:
Aplauz Plus:
– spending limit of 100 EUR in a single transaction
– spending limit of 1.500 EUR per partner website in a period of 365 days
– maximum digital wallet balance of 150 EUR
Aplauz Pro:
– spending limit of 500 EUR in a single transaction
– spending limit of 2.500 EUR per partner website in a period of 365 days
– maximum digital wallet balance of 2.000 EUR
